About
'Replacements' is the second single to be taken
from the band's acclaimed 2012 album 'Your heart, it carries the
sound', released to coincide with the band's Autumn 2012 film tour
collaboration with visual artist Andrew Brooks.
It's an immersive, thunderous song, rich in oblique lyrical
imagery and spacious instrumentation, with singer Kevin Craig's
whispered warnings about a "figure approaching" giving way to
heavy, pounding drums and coruscating noise from the band.

ARTROCKER
"4/5. Taken from the excellent album 'Your
heart, it carries the sound', Replacements is a moody,
sneering record putting to great use the presence and absence of
space from verse to chorus. The introduction is reminiscent of
Metallica but once the vocals kick in you are in clear Ian Curtis
territory. From the crawling, trawling bass in the verse to the
slow heavy chorus, every squeak, lick and piece of feedback can be
appreciated."
